“ I saw this Izakaya branch did a sushi buffet every Thursday but couldn't see any reviews about it, I've had a sushi buffet once before and really enjoyed it so seeing as Izakaya is already a good restaurant I thought I'd try it out. You get 1 hour and 30 minutes, you order in rounds (I was one person so it was 3 items per round), you can order as many rounds as you like within the time limit and the only limits are 2 maximum orders from a selection of Don, salmon sashimi and eel nigiri plus 1 maximum order of the black sesame, green tea and mochi ice-cream. The selection apart from the above consists of 4 different uramaki rolls with a variation of prawn, salmon and surimi. All the usual makis (salmon, tuna etc), nigiri (salmon, tuna, prawn and a few others like surimi), some hot tapas options (karaage, takoyaki, pork/vegetable gyozas, chicken yakitori, spring rolls, miso soup and a few others) and then desserts which are the above ice-creams, vanilla ice-cream and taiyaki. All I can say is that I absolutely loved this experience. You get more than enough sushi in the time frame (and I eat a lot), rolls contained really decent ingredients and it was such a fair trade-off between price and the nicer options in sushi (nigiri, sashimi etc). I paid approx 25 for the sushi buffet 10% service charge which I was more than happy to pay given the great service. All the waiting staff were also very attentive and didn't let me sit for too long without asking if I need anything or would like another round. Only one tiny gripe was that the last round had surimi uramaki when I thought I selected the ebi salmon one but that's so tiny and I'm sure they would've changed it if I said. 10/10, for anyone thinking of the sushi buffet you won't be disappointed. It's delicious and the service is great. ”
